Foodpanda Has Landed in Naga City!

Ask anyone who knows me, and they'll immediately tell you that my favorite color is pink. It's a great pop of color and instantly refreshes the eyes as an accent to a room or piece if clothing. Imagine my surprise when foodpanda came into the picture as Naga City's food delivery service go-to!

More than its color, there are quite a number of reasons why I see foodpanda as a good addition to Hungrily and Pandalivery in the local scene (also two well-known food delivery services in Naga City). I always say, healthy competition is always good, and it means that the city is being recognized as a place where food delivery is becoming sustainable.

In case you're not aware, foodpanda is the biggest online food ordering and delivery service in the Philippines. They began their journey in Berlin (May 2012) and are now operating in more than 40 countries (45,000 restaurant partners globally)! Pretty excited to have a brand this huge come to Naga and service Bicolanos in having their favorite cuisines delivered, hassle-free.

What I especially love about foodpanda is that they are also advocates of saving the environment. "Maximum taste, minimum waste" is a very apt motto. Makes me care even more about the brand and makes me excited for future events they might have that push for this advocacy.

Another benefit is that Bicolanos no longer need to memorize delivery numbers for all the restaurants we love. Foodpanda has plenty of restaurants in the city to choose from, whether we're craving for cuisines from America, China, Japan, and even our local flavors.

The launch was hosted by Coconatz Restaurant, a lovely place to take your friends and family to eat local dishes that taste incredible. Everything was well done, the atmosphere was cozy yet still spacious, and like I said, the food was perfect for large groups.

Using foodpanda to curb your hunger is very easy - just log in to the foodpanda website or download the app (available on the App Store and Google Play Store) and follow these simple steps to enjoy fast and dependable service:

1. Create an account/log in/use your Facebook account.
2. Select your current location and choose you preferred restaurant.
3. Tap on food items you want to order to add them to your basket.
4. Review your order in the basket and tap on "proceed" to check out.
5. On the checkout page, you may enter a discount voucher code if you have one. Payment options include Cash on Delivery, Online Payment (Credit Card), or Paypal.
6. Once your order is confirmed, all you have to do is wait for the foodpanda rider to deliver your food.

Now isn't that easy? I've tried foodpanda with friends multiple times, and the delivery is very quick. You get confirmation as soon as the restaurant acknowledges receipt of the order and you can just sit calmly knowing your food's being prepared.

I even won a contest that had foodpanda deliver lunch at home (in partnership with Bigg's Diner)! My dad was thrilled so I took a pic, haha!
