My Illustration Process 3: Reese

I'm back with another illustration process post, and this time, I have a speed-paint video for you! Reese is a new character I created, named (and fashioned a little) after the chocolate brand. You *may* realize why. (Hint: What does the skirt look like?)

Hope you enjoy this video and let me know if you want more or if you think I should do something differently.

Original time: 5+ hrs
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS6, Mac version
Tool(s): Wacom Manga Pen & Touch

Thank you for watching! Will be posting the full image on my art page on Facebook (here).

Ciao, bellas!

  2. If i can only draw as neat as this one, i could have started a comic series of my own haha.. I used to draw my own characters when I was in college because I was so inspired by different video games and anime but I try to make my own plot... I don't know if I still got those comics haha..
Anyway, you did a great job... i hope you could share a tutorial about how to draw a proper human anatomy... it's actually my weakest point and I never really get them right!
(btw), i will post my polymer creations later in my blog haha (they are not really great though)

  3. What a talent you have there! It's fascinating to watch and how the illustration comes alive after. :-)

  4. You painted this using Photoshop? Heck I can't even draw with my hand! You are talented girl. This is actually one of my frustrations, I wasn't given the gift to draw, so sad.

  5. You really have gifted hands in drawing/painting. You remind me about a childhood friend who's also good in it. I wonder where she is now. Do you have tutorials for this activity?

  6. This is so beautiful. How did you use Photoshop? I thought you always needed to learn illustrator to do this. Also, do you accept commission work? :)

  8. Wow! You are so talented. I was amazed when you did the color details on the hair and the round thing on the wand (?) Reese's is holding.

    1. Thanks! Hehe. I never thought Reese would sound nice as a woman's name. Perhaps I should've thought otherwise, haha.

  13. Wow! You are really talented! This is something I would have enjoyed when I was younger, but I chose another field for practical reasons. Still enjoy art, drawing, and sketching for a hobby though! Keep drawing!

  14. This was too awesome to watch! I'd always been a frustrated artist, until it came to the point where I just really had to stop because I just don't think it's right for me. I really appreciate your works! :)
