The Playlist: Valentine's 2016

As an old romantic, nothing sets the mood for Valentine's like a good song, champagne (or wine, whatever the man prefers), and some genuine Australian Angus, well-done to medium-rare (with a side of chicken-mango or caesar salad). However, what really gives me the feels is the music - so here's a round-up of my Valentine's Day playlist for 2016.

For those of you with a special someone and are at a point in your relationship where you're both comfortable and satisfied with how things are going, this playlist is for you (take note, most of the tracks here are ones I personally listen to even if it's not Valentine's Day, haha).

Have song recommendations? Leave a comment! I love discovering new and not-so-new songs. :) (I'd create a playlist for bitter/brokenhearted peeps, but it's all about staying positive in love, guys, hehe.)

    1. Good to know! Haha, I was debating on including that in the playlist. It didn't make the final cut though, for some reason (perhaps because I'm still waiting for an artist that would really make the song sound great) but thanks for the reco! I'll add that to my other playlist on Spotify hehe.

    1. Hahaha I know - Adele DOES belong in the heartbroken section, but something about that particular song of hers I included makes me happy. IDK if it's beat or what, but I couldn't not put it there. Thanks! Love Neyo too!

  8. I must be living in a cave. I don't know any of these titles. Maybe because my daughters only like to listen to 1D these days.

    1. Oh! Hehe. I'm not really a fan of 1D though. Most songs on here aren't current though. :) Hehe.

  10. This is a great playlist. The classic songs of the 90s never fails to touch my heart. I always have this kind of nostalgic feeling every time I hear a love song from the 90s. Early 2000s is also great too :)

    1. Me too! I was browsing Spotify for songs to add, and I had to stop myself from adding so many songs from that year. Sigh. Songs are rarely romantic these days. It's almost always about taking your clothes off and "feeling yourself". XD

  12. that's a long playlist. The only song I recognized is the one of BeeGees (it speaks of my age). I'm a bagets generation so aside from the 80s, I prefer the love songs of the 70s more that the 90s and up to the present. Tagos sa buto, ika nga, haha!

    1. I've grown to love Beegees (plus Earth, Wind and Fire, and a few other bands from before) because of my dad. He's a music lover and we jam to old music, and I really enjoy them. Hehe, yeah, tagos sa buto talaga! I gave my dad control of my Spotify for a few hours, and the songs he played - DANG. Haha. That was a great few hours of my afternoon.

  13. Love the indie/classic/pop vibe of the playlist. You have an awesome taste in music. I would recommend "cant help falling in love" by elvis presley and "i wanna hold your hand" by the beatles. Thanks for sharing this!
