We're Almost There... [Pt 4]

I would say this quarter was when things started going south more. I got an infection on my finger that caused it to swell so much I had to get an operation for it (and it hasn't gone back to how it was - I can't straighten it out anymore), and so much more happened to me and my body that I... I don't know how I got through all that.

JULY

The infection happened during a game of Valorant, and since then, I haven't touched the game. The middle finger on my right hand was affected so now, it's weaker and can't really do much anymore. Putting pressure on it hurts so I just learn to not use it as often. I'll need to find a doctor for this soon though 'cause I want to get it back to health. How will I play the guitar or piano with a dysfunctional finger?

Anyway, here's a photo of me wearing the Kuromi hairband Bem bought for me during her Japan trip. :)

A Twitch friend of mine also started checking in on me, asking me to react with certain colors/emotes depending on my mood. I found it really thoughtful, so I started doing it to other friends too, every now and then.

I've always replied with either orange or white.

Also, my mom died on the 24th so July has always been heavy. It'll take a while to recover, I guess, but I'm trying.

AUGUST

My mom's birthday month. I don't recall anything from this month at all, other than I know I was feeling very low the whole month.

SEPTEMBER

I've rarely gone out this year and when I do, it's mostly to go grocery shopping with the family during weekends. Landers recently opened so I was able to go and take a look at some items I was hoping they'd carry. The restaurant area wasn't bad either.

Tried their fish and chips, and it's the usual flavor. Pretty bland but the dressing/sauce made up for it somehow. I forgot how much this was but I think it was pretty reasonable.

We ordered this from Summit Café (went out with my now ex's mom) as we chatted for a little. It was okay, but the chips were a bit stale. Felt like it had been exposed in the air for too long.

THIS was a treat. Saw it on sale and immediately got a couple packs. I LOVE this brand of ice cream sandwiches. It tastes great albeit messy to eat. My go-to flavor has always been chocolate first, then the red bean, then everything else.

Yeah, ice cream makes me happy. Makes me fat too, but whatever.
